Dutch anti-piracy outfit BREIN granted trusted flagger status

Dutch anti-piracy organisation BREIN has been granted the status of trusted flagger by the Dutch digital services coordinator (ACM), as of 29 September 2025.
Trusted flaggers are organisations recognised by the ACM that are deemed reliable to detect, identify and report illegal content to online platforms, such as hosting providers, social media and online marketplaces. These parties are obliged to treat reports from trusted flaggers as a priority.

President Donald Trump has confirmed his plans of “imposing a 100% Tariff on any and all movies that are made outside the US,” sending a shock message to Hollywood and the global film industry.
