A1 Telekom Austria and Deezer launch a new music streaming service for Central and Eastern Europe

A1 Telekom Austria Group has teamed with music streaming service Deezer to launch of a new co-branded music service called A1 Xplore Music by Deezer, which will initially be available to about 8.5 million A1 customers in Austria, Slovenia and Bulgaria.

The two partners said this is "the first multi-country European partnership between a telco operator and a music streaming service of its kind."

Deezer grows direct subscribers’ base as revenue drops 1.6% to €131.9m in Q1 2026

Music streaming service Deezer has increase its direct subscribers' portfolio both in France and in the rest of the world while partnerships subscribers dropped significantly by 23% during the first quarter of the year. Total subscribers' count reached 8.9 million, down 5.1% from 9.4 million in the same quarter a year prior. Direct subscribers accounted for 5.7 million, up 9% year-on-year.
