HYBE posts Q3 revenue up 80% y-o-y with growth in album sales, licensing and merchandising

HYBE, the South Korean music company behind the success of boyband BTS, has reported Q3 2021 revenue up 80% year-on-year to KRW 341 billion (approx. €250m) with an operating profit of KRW 65.6bn, (€48.0m) up 63% compared the same period of 2020. HYBE said Q3 2021 results were driven by growth in album sales, merchandising and licensing. Album sales were up by 21% to KRW 129.7bn (€95m), largely due to strong performances from BTS new music, while merchandising and licensing revenues rose by 53%...
