CISAC community raised €1.2 million to support Ukrainian creators and refugees

The fund 'Creators for Ukraine' has raised so far around €1.2 million for creators and victims of the war in Ukraine. The fund was set up by the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), in partnership with its member societies. Indian Performing Right Society takes legal action against hospitality venues playing unlicensed music

Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) coordinated a legal campaign at the end of 2025 to ensure that major hospitality groups secured music licenses and respected licensed repertoire for the end of the year festivities. Former BMI VP of Writer/Publisher Relations Roger Sovine has died aged 82

Roger Sovine, who served for many years several decades at US music rights society BMI in Nashville, has died December 23, 2025 at the age of 82.
