CISAC’s GA elects new Board and re-admits Turkish societies MESAM and MSG

The members of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) have elected a new Board of Directors during the organisation's General Assembly held on June 2.

The elections of the 20-member board took place by an online vote of the GA. Elected members of the Board of Directors comprises the CEOs of 20 societies, representing all regions of the world and all CISAC repertoires (music, audiovisual, visual arts, drama and literature).

The UK’s PPL distributed £14.7 million in international royalties in Q3 2022

British neighbouring rights society PPL has paid £14.7 million (€16.86) as part of its Q3 2022 distribution of international revenue to more than 33,000 performers and recording rights holders, either as direct members of PPL or indirectly through other collective management organisations (CMOs).

PRS for Music launches new portal with metadata from over two million works

PRS for Music has launched a new online portal that provides access to songwriter and composer credits alongside its critical links between works and recordings identifiers.
