Tracy Maraj appointed Chief People & Culture Officer at Utopia Music

Music fintech company Utopia Music has appointed Tracy Maraj as Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO), in charge of "shaping and leading the company’s people strategy." Pophouse acquires from BMG a majority share in Tina Turner’s catalogue

Entertainment and music investment firm Pophouse and BMG have closed a "strategic transaction" which will see Pophouse becoming an owner alongside BMG in the music interests of the catalogue of singer and songwriter and R&B legend Tina Turner. The deal, financial the terms of which were not disclosed, also includes the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) rights. "The transaction makes Pophouse the majority owner in the music interests of Tina Turner," said Pophouse in a statement.

Mexican rock band Ladrones sign global recording deal with Rise Records/BMG

Mexican rock band Ladrones have signed a new global recordings agreement with Rise Records/BMG to release their upcoming third studio album. Hailing from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Ladrones have already released two albums, 'Flow Pesado' and 'Mexican Pesado'. Since 2021, they fuse together influences of rock and metal, hip-hop and regional Mexican music to create a unique style they call “Flow Pesado.”
