YolanDa Brown replaces Ged Doherty as Chair of British labels’ trade body the BPI

British musician, composer and broadcaster YolanDa Brown has been appointed Chair of the BPI, the UK's music trade body representing major companies and independent labels. She takes over from film producer and former CEO of Sony Music UK Ged Doherty, who announced in February that he would be standing down after seven years in the role.

Investment firm HarbourView Equity Partners has reached an agreement with the Estate of the late US composer, producer and performer Quincy Jones, in a deal that includes Jones' recorded music and publishing assets, as well as other ancillary rights, including his participation in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air', which was produced by Jones.
