AEPO-ARTIS recommends the introduction of a right to equitable remuneration for on-demand streaming in Europe

AEPO-ARTIS, the Association of European Performers’ Organisations, is calling for the adoption of equitable remuneration for on-demand streaming as a means to reduce "the imbalance in contracts between performers and producers." The proposal was made in the organisation's report Performers’ Rights Study Update 2022. The study was first published in 2007 and with this is its 4th update. French rights society SACEM celebrated its 175th anniversary by gathering at its headquarters in Neuilly-sur-Seine creators, policy-makers and industry personalities for the inaugural SACEM Day. PPL collected £315.3m in neighbouring rights in 2025, up 4.75% year-on-year

British neighbouring rights society PPL has generated revenues in 2025 up 4.75% year-on-year to £315.3 million (€362.0m). Growth in 2025 was driven by "a strong international performance and stable income across public performance, broadcast and online licensing in the UK."
