Spotify embarks on “the next phase” of its podcast strategy and loses some 200 jobs

Spotify Technology is cutting down 200 jobs at its podcast division, representing about 2% of the music streaming company's total workforce, as part of restructuring of the division, following years of heavy investment.

Music licensing platform and marketplace Songtradr has acquired online music store and community Bandcamp. In parallel, Bandcamp parent company Epic Games — producer of the game 'Fortnite' — is investing in Songtradr to support Bandcamp’s successful integration into Songtradr. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

FTC and 17 states file competition lawsuit against Amazon for dominant position
