Universal Music Group will raise €750m in bonds to refinance debt

Universal Music Group has announced plans to raise €750 million through 4.000% senior unsecured notes, due 2031. The Euronext Amsterdam-listed company said the proceeds from the issuance of the bonds will be used "for refinancing of existing indebtedness and paying transaction fees and expenses." Warner Music Group (WMG) and Netflix have formed a creative partnership under an exclusive multi-year deal that will give the streaming platform a first-look to make documentary series and films based on the lives, music and legacies of WMG’s artists and songwriters.
