Korea Music Copyright Association names Hwang Sun-cheol as secretary-general

The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) has promoted Hwang Sun-cheol as the South Korean music rights society's secretary-general, effective from January 2, 2025. Hwang Sun-cheol was part of KOMCA's legal team and served as the Head of the Broadcasting team. He is credited for having successfully led copyright consultations with domestic and foreign users.

SACEM celebrated its 175th anniversary with record collections (€1.70bn) and distributions (€1.50bn) in 2025

French rights society SACEM has collected a record amount of €1.70 billion in 2025, up 6.5% over 2024, and distributed €1.50bn to 663,000 artists and publishers, a 9% increase from the year prior.
