Creators’ organisations outline views on copyright and generative AI to MEPs

The European Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) has adopted on January 28 the report 'Copyright and generative artificial intelligence – opportunities and challenges', presented by rapporteur Axel Voss (EPP, DE). The amended report contains a series of proposals to ensure "full transparency and fair remuneration of rights holders for the use of copyrighted work by generative artificial intelligence." European Commission agrees on the proposed Digital Networks Act (DNA)

The European Commission has adopted on 21 January 2026 the Digital Networks Act (DNA), a legislation aimed at modernising the legal framework for connectivity and provide the Union with "an advanced and resilient digital infrastructure." The DNA builds upon the EU Electronic Communications Code (EECC) adopted in 2018.
