BMG has acquired the remaining interests in the song catalogues of lyricist Hal David, blues legend John Lee Hooker (pictured, above) and Chess Records' publishing unit ARC Music. Terms of the various agreements were not disclosed. The ARC deal completes a transaction first announced in 2016, when BMG acquired a majority stake in the ARC Music catalogue from Fuji Music Group.
