SoundExchange has distributed over $8.4 billion since its launch in 2003; Q2 2021 distribution down 0.9% to $241.6m

US neighbouring rights society SoundExchange has announced that it distributed to its record labels and performers members $241.6 million for the second quarter of the year, down 0.9% compared to the same period of 2020. The company did not provide any additional details about its collections and how it had been affected by the Covid pandemic.

Canada’s mechanical rights society CMRRA distributed over CA$94 million in 2025

The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA), which collects and distributes mechanical rights in Canada, distributed over CA$94 million (€58.9m) in royalties to its music publisher and self-published songwriter clients for the 2025 fiscal year, slightly down (-2.1%) from CA$96m in 2024.
