Federal court dismisses antitrust case against Amazon and book publishers

A US federal judge has dismissed two antitrust lawsuits accusing Amazon and the five largest publishers — Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan Publishing Group, Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster — of illegally conspiring to fix US prices of electronic and traditional books. RIAA’s Chief Legal Officer Ken Doroshow to retire at the end of March
