ASCAP collected $1.94bn in 2025, up 6.0%, with distributions up 3.7% to $1.75bn

US music rights society ASCAP collected a record-breaking $1.94 billion in revenue in the 2025 calendar year, up 6.0% over 2024, with $1.76bn available for royalty distributions to ASCAP music creator and publisher members, a 3.7% increase over the prior year. SACEM drops its administration fee applied to online rights to 7% in 2026

France's rights society SACEM has disclosed that it will be applying a lower commission rate of 7% to online rights in 2026, down from 8% two years ago.
