Symphonic acquires YouTube monetisation platform Distro Nation

Distribution and services company for the independent sector Symphonic has acquired music distribution and YouTube monetisation platform Distro Nation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Global streaming subscription revenue are expected to reach $200 billion by 2030, up 29% from $157.1bn in 2025, according to new research from London-based Ampere Analysis. Total subscriptions revenue tripled in five years, as revenues reached $50bn in 2020. The international expansion of global streaming services, the rollout of ad-supported tiers, and consistent price increases across major platforms have contributed to the increase between 2020 and 2025, according to Ampere.
