France’s competition authority orders Meta to negotiate neighbouring rights in ‘good faith’ with news content publishers

France's competition regulator Autorité de la concurrence has enjoined tech company Meta to resume negotiations news content rights owners "in good faith" and provide them with the information necessary to assess the remuneration they are owed by July 23. US Copyright Office proposes a 43% increase in fees for its services

The US Copyright Office has submitted to Congress a proposed new fee schedule for its services, along with a supporting analysis, which will result in a 43% average increase in fees. US states sue to block the merger of Paramount with Warner Bros. Discovery
