UK music consumption reached an all-time high of 200 billion audio streams in 2024

Streaming of recorded music reached a record in 2024 in the UK, with some 200 billion audio streams monitored across the year, according to figures issued by British record labels' trade organisation the BPI, based on data from the Official Charts Company. There were 200.5 million albums (or their streaming equivalent), consumed or bought during the year, all formats considered, up 9.7% year-on-year. Believe Music Publishing has signed Swedish artist and songwriter Loreen to a worldwide publishing deal. The agreement will see Believe represent Loreen new album, 'Wildfire', which was released on March 27.
