Albanese Government passes first ever orphan works legislation in Australia

The Australian Government has passed a copyright reform designed "to providing Australians greater legal certainty when using ‘orphan works’ (copyright material where the copyright owner is unknown or unlocatable)." The orphan works scheme is the first ever under Australian copyright law. Belgium’s Constitutional Court confirms video streaming services must contribute to the production of local content
