US rights society BMI achieved record collection and distribution during fiscal year 2021 despite challenges from Covid

American music rights society BMI has announced that it has grown its revenue and distributions "to record-setting levels," despite a fiscal year "marked by ongoing challenges around the Covid-19 pandemic." French rights society SACEM has collected a record amount of €1.70 billion in 2025, up 6.5% over 2024, and distributed €1.50bn to 663,000 artists and publishers, a 9% increase from the year prior.
