Nashville-based Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) has launched a new opt-in feature for its members by making available a monthly list of the top 1,000 unmatched sound recording uses based on their calculated royalty value. According to The MLC, this will provide members "with another way to search our unmatched data and look for uses of their works." Nepal government forms committee to inquire into issues related to music royalties, copyright, and IP rights

The government of Nepal has formed on May 22 a five-member committee to look into allegations of disputes and complaints related to music royalties, copyright, and intellectual property rights. BMI acquires from Orfium music cue sheet platform Soundmouse

US music rights society BMI has signed an agreement with rights management company Orfium to acquire Soundmouse, a music cue sheet reporting and monitoring platform for the broadcast and entertainment production industries. SGAE’s 2025 distributions up 3.1% to €360m with collections up 1% to €393m

Spain's General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) has collected a record €393.4 million in 2025, up 1% over 2024, and has distributed €360 million in royalties to its members in 2025, a 3.1% increase year-over-year.
