Republic of Ireland to launch Basic Income for the Arts pilot scheme on April 12

The Republic of Ireland's Basic Income for the Arts pilot scheme will launch April 12. It will provide artists and creative arts sector workers who opt in with some regular revenue (a weekly a payment of €325) so that they can "focus on artistic and creative work during the period of the pilot." WIPO members confirm Daren Tang as Director General for another six-year term

Daren Tang, who served as Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) since 2020, has been confirmed for a second six-year term by WIPO's 194 members during the General Assembly of the Geneva-based organisation.
