Norway’s TONO collected for the first time over one billion Norwegian kroner in 2024

Norwegian ​music rights society TONO collected for the first time in 2024 over one billion Norwegian kroner in a full year, reaching NOK 1,017m (€86.24m), up 2% over 2023, for the benefit of songwriters, composers and music publishers ​in Norway and​ abroad. After statutory deductions and operating costs, the monies available for distribution amounted to NOK 848.79m (€71.99m). TONO’s cost ratio increased from 12.89% in 2023 to 14.49%, reflecting "ongoing investments in digital infrastructure." ...
