Global Music Rights sues Music Choice for alleged willful infringement

Privately-owned US music rights society Global Music Rights (GMR) has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit in the US District Court for the Central District of California against online radio operator Music Choice for “repeatedly and willfully" infringing upon GMR repertoire. ASCAP sues four US radio groups for failing to secure a license to play music

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has filed infringement lawsuits against four separate radio groups operating a total of 15 stations following what the US rights organisation described as their "continued failure to comply with US copyright law by broadcasting ASCAP songwriter and publisher works without a valid license."
