CISAC elects Kazuhiko Fukuoji and Ángeles González-Sinde Reig as Vice-Presidents

Japanese painter Kazuhiko Fukuoji and Spanish screenwriter, director, illustrator, and children’s author Ángeles González-Sinde Reig have been elected Vice-Presidents of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers.

The two creators were elected by the CISAC General Assembly, held in Mexico City on 1 June. They replace Chinese film director Jia Zhang-Ke and Spanish visual artist Miquel Barceló who did not seek re-election.

Over 100 CISAC members gather in Mexico for the organisation’s General Assembly

Over 100 authors societies from five continents will convene in Mexico on June 1 for the General Assembly of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers. MCPS distributed £188.4 million in 2022

The British Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society-MCPS has distributed £188.4 million (€216.8m) to its members in 2022, a 3.6% rise from 2021 (or up £6.7m). The London-based society said it was the highest distribution since 2007 and the fourth consecutive year in growing distributions.
