Dequency raises $4.5m to build a Web3 music synchronisation licensing marketplace

Web3 music synchronisation licensing marketplace Dequency has raised $4.5 million through an investment round led by Borderless Capital, which has committed to a $1.5m investment.  

Decency said the funding will go toward building out the company’s peer-to-peer function, enabling music creators to upload their work to the platform and directly license for use in visual art projects.

Most OTT viewers use the ad-supported tiers of video streaming services in the US

The penetration of subscription over-the-top (OTT) ad-supported services is growing in the USA, according to estimates from marketing and research company eMarketer.

The most popular of all paid ad-supported services is Amazon Prime Video, for which eight out of ten subscribers choses to use the ad-supported tier, according to eMarketer's February 2024 forecast.
