Concord acquires the Bill Carrier Sr. API photo collection of Memphis’ Stax Records

Stax Records owner Concord has acquired the Bill Carrier Sr. API photo collection of Memphis’ Stax Records, many of which were used on the covers of various Stax albums. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The collection includes pictures from Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Sam & Dave, Rufus and Carla Thomas, William Bell, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, Eddie Floyd, The Bar-Kays, Johnnie Taylor, The Astors, The Mad Lads, Mable John, Judy Clay, among others.

BMG acquires music producer Luca Anzilotti’s publishing interests in Snap!

BMG has acquired the publishing interests of German music producer Luca Anzilotti, co-founder of the Eurodance group Snap!. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Anzilotti co-founded Snap! in 1989 with Michael Münzing. BMG previously acquired the sound recordings to the entire Snap! catalogue in 2016 and then acquired Münzing’s writer shares in 2022. "This acquisition represents a significant step in BMG’s long-term strategy to consolidate the Snap! catalogue," said the company.
