MIDiA Research evaluates the global recorded music market at $36.2 billion in 2024, up 6.5% compared to 2023

The global recorded music growth has experienced a 6.5% growth in 2024 to $36.2 billion, according to MIDiA Research's report 'Recorded music market shares 2024 - Widening gaps', co-penned by Mark Mulligan and Tatiana Cirisano. Seeker Music acquires Nu Shooz’s recordings and publishing catalogues

Independent music company Seeker Music has acquired the recordings and publishing catalogues of ‘80s synthpop group Nu Shooz, in an agreement with the band's John Smith and Valerie Day. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The band was formed in Portland, Oregon, by guitarist John Smith and vocalist and percussionist Valerie Day.
