The music publishing market in France posted record revenues of €597 million in 2024, up 6% compared to 2023, according to the yearly report ‘Focus on Music Publishing in France 2024′, unveiled by music publishers’ associations CSDEM (pop repertoire), CEMF (classical repertoire) and ULM (production music). British independent label Chess Club Records has signed a global distribution agreement with Virgin Music Group, the Universal Music Group-owned distribution and services company for the independent sector.
