British recorded music consumption in 2024 reached passed 210 billion streams

For the 11th consecutive year, British recorded music consumption posted growth with sales of 210.3 million albums (or their streamed equivalent) in 2025, thanks mainly to over 210.3 billion audio streams generated for the first time, according to figures disclosed by British recorded music industry's trade organisation the BPI, based on data from the Official Charts Company. Create Music Group acquires dance music company Cr2 Holdings Group

Independent music company Create Music Group (CMG) has acquired Cr2 Holdings Group, home to dance label Cr2 Records and its music publishing unit MBMB Publishing.
